The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority provides technical assistance and direct financial payments to implement BMPs that reduce impacts to water quality. Activities like planting of buffer strips may be covered (75–100%) up to C$5,000. Other projects may be funded under this program, including projects that may not fit existing categories, but all projects must protect or improve water quality. Landowners may apply and Environmental Farm Plans are recommended (TRCA 2016).
